What do I think about post-planning?
Post-Planning is making sure your Person-Centered Plan is carried out in the ways that you want.
What are the important things to remember when post-planning?
The most important thing is that individuals can pick who can represent them (themselves, anyone in their family, a co-worker, and even a peer support specialist). If my 86-year-old grandmother didn’t support me as a guardian when I was younger, I wouldn’t be here. And now I represent myself with her support when it comes to meeting my goals.
You can change your career or even change your goals that you want to achieve.
You can’t have one person create a village for themselves. It takes everyone to build that ideal goal to achieve
Planning shouldn’t happen overnight. Give yourself and your team time to meet your goals well.
A special message
If it wasn’t for my grandmother representing me, I wouldn’t be here writing about it today. She has represented me since I was only two years of age, and here in 2021, she knows how I will be responsible enough to take care of my own self. Currently, (even though I’m working remotely at home) I have two part-time jobs which I started in early 2019: one being a peer support specialist and an adviser as well.
